Unwritten Recipes: Theatre Announcements and Blog News!

Recent updates

Hi everyone! This is Annabel, Felicia’s daughter and lead baker behind the one and only Peanut Butter Blondies that you all probably know and love. I hope that you’re all having a great start to the autumn and enjoying all of the yummy foods associated with this pretty, chill-vibes season. I know that Unwritten Recipes has been on a long hiatus for the last several months and my family and I wanted to finally address this for all those who love and enjoy reading her blog and trying out her recipes. I’m sad to announce that after a 3 year battle with metastatic breast cancer, Felicia passed away this past July. This blog is amazing because it keeps us closer to her through her brilliant writing skills and ardent love of delicious recipes, and it is made even more special that all of you love her recipes the way that we always did.

Don’t be worried if you think this is going to be a sign off post! My family and I want to try to keep Unwritten Recipes going and add more dishes and treats that Felicia would love. My mom and I always used to say we had the “same brain” so hopefully I can tap into my food blogger gene to help continue the work she did.

I also want to announce that one of Felicia’s musicals (yes, she is also a very talented musical theatre lyricist and writer), The Jerusalem Syndrome will be opening at The York Theatre Company in New York City in November, 2023. We invite all of you to come and enjoy this madcap musical and help us celebrate Felicia’s musical theatre gifts.

The York Theatre has also established a Memorial Fund in her honor. Please consider making a donation to help keep her name and legacy alive. All contributions are tax-deductible and will go to support the upcoming production of The Jerusalem Syndrome.

Thank you and stay tuned for more theatre updates and maybe a dessert or two!
